Large Animal Research Network Meeting 24-25 Sep 2025

Meeting Overview
The first day of the meeting will include a facilities/farm tour before a full day of farm animal disease presentations with opportunities for networking throughout. Trade will be present on both days.

We have an excellent line up of invited speakers and we also require your participation.

The event will run from 14:00 on 24 September to 16:00 on 25 September. We reserve the 24th of September for delegates who would like to present. Please submit an abstract when you register if you would like to present your work.

There will be invited speakers from the Moredun Research Institute, the Pirbright Institute, the University of Edinburgh, SRUC, Charles River Laboratories and Labcorp. Some of the invited speakers and the topics that they will cover are:

Eddie Clutton (University of Edinburgh) who will cover pitfalls in large laboratory animal pain assessment
Cathy Dwyer (SRUC) who will discuss sheep behaviour and how this is linked to health and welfare
Chris Cousens (Moredun Research Institute) will present the development of an OPA model for studying lung cancer.
Presenters from The Pirbright Institute will cover refinements in large animal care and housing in high containment environment.

LASA Members - £100 + VAT
Non-LASA Members - £150 + VAT

Accommodation is not included in the registration fee and must be booked separately.
