PhD fellowships at NDSU

The Center for Nutrition and Pregnancy (CNP; https://www.ndsu.edu/cnp) and the Department of Animal Sciences (ANSC; https://www.ndsu.edu/agriculture/animal-sciences) at North Dakota State University are seeking applicants for PhD fellowships.

Successful candidates will work within the broad area of parental nutrition and development outcomes with a primary focus on sheep and/or cattle models.

Other broad opportunities also exist for successful candidates within the ANSC graduate programs of nutrition, physiology, behavior, genetics, and meat science and muscle biology. Candidates also will participate in collaborative research efforts within both the CNP and ANSC, which comprises a very active group of investigators with expertise in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology, Developmental Biology, Embryology, Genetics/ Genomics, Microbiology/ Microbiome, Nutrition, and Physiology (https://www.ndsu.edu/cnp/people; https://www.ndsu.edu/cnp/about_us).

Additionally, the candidates will gain experience in the preparation of grant applications, networking at conferences, and both leading and working within research and educational teams. The candidate’s stipend will be competitive and will include a tuition waiver as per university policy.
