She has successfully developed new strategies to sustainably grow organisations. Maggie, working with Trustees, looks to develop the future strategy of BSAS, contributing to the future vibrancy and success of the organisation and wider animal science environment.

Cat has a strong background in animal science, having previously worked as a zookeeper before joining BSAS as the new Operations Executive. With a Bachelor's degree in Zoo Biology and a Master's in Zoo Management & Conservation, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role. Passionate about animal welfare, sustainability, and promoting a greener way of living, Cat is dedicated to helping BSAS grow and continue to shape the future of animal science. Working closely with members, she aims to develop innovative strategies that contribute to the vibrancy and success of the organisation and the wider animal science community.

Communications Manager

Sinead Lynch Communications Manager

Sinead Lynch serves as the Communications Manager for BSAS, playing a key role in enhancing the Society's profile, expanding its outreach, and strengthening its engagement with key stakeholders and members. Sinead is responsible for media relations as well as internal and external communications and manages multiple communication platforms, oversees content creation, and supports the Society's goals of advancing animal science research and education. Beyond her strategic communications role, Sinead actively contributes to BSAS’s event planning and community-building efforts, promoting knowledge-sharing and collaboration.
