Terms & Conditions
The following terms and conditions apply to all orders for the sale of goods to customers received by the British Society of Animal Science (BSAS). All orders are subject to these terms and conditions unless otherwise agreed in writing and signed by an authorised representative of BSAS.
These terms and conditions, and any documents referred to in these terms and conditions:
- Constitute the entire agreement and understanding of the parties; and
- Supersede any previous agreement, correspondence or discussions between BSAS and the customer.
Save as agreed in accordance with these terms and conditions, customers' terms of purchase will not apply.
Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
By placing an order the customer acknowledges receipt and agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Availability
Any information regarding availability is subject to publishers’ stock levels. Please note that the Site does not have a 'live' link into our main database therefore availability displayed for each title is subject to change.
Pricing
All items are charged in UK Pounds Sterling (£). BSAS aim to provide the most accurate information on book prices at all times. In the event of a pricing error howsoever caused, we will check with you to see if you still wish to receive the item at the new price.
Voucher Promotions
- Vouchers may only be used online
- Vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer
- Only one voucher can be used per online order
- Vouchers will expire on the date indicated by the promotion
- Vouchers are only valid on items specified by the voucher promotion
- Vouchers are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Nominal voucher value is 0.001p
- BSAS reserves the right to reject any voucher in it's reasonable discretion
Payment Methods
Full payment for all orders is required at the time of ordering. All orders not accompanied by payment or authorisation to debit MasterCard/Visa/Switch accounts will be returned with a proforma invoice requesting payment before goods can be despatched. Proformas shall lapse 90 days after issue, unless agreed in writing, and Goods remain the property of BSAS until payment is received. Payment can be made by MasterCard, Visa Debit or Connect, Visa Credit, Switch, UK Maestro, Solo and JCB.
VAT
Goods are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Books are currently zero-rated, but other items such as CD’s, diaries, notebooks and electronic products are subject to VAT at the standard rate. If there is any change in legislation, VAT will be applicable at the standard rate in accordance with such changes. The BSAS VAT registration number is GB 268 6594 03.
Delivery
Every effort is made to ensure that goods are delivered on time and the time indications provided below are subject to the goods being in stock at the time of order and may vary at certain times of the year. BSAS cannot be held responsible for any parcel not arriving within any guaranteed time due to circumstances beyond their control.
Delivery to UK
Delivery to the UK is free. Items will be sent by the most suitable method for the goods ordered by the customer. Delivery time will be approximately 3-10 working days.
Delivery outside the UK
Goods will be delivered by using the most suitable method for the goods ordered by customers. Delivery time for international orders will vary depending on country, but will be approximately 5-20 working days. If more than 3 items are to be ordered please contact BSAS for P&P costs.
Claims
Claim for non-delivery must be made within 30 days from the date of despatch for all orders. Claims for shortages and damages must be made within 10 working days from date of receipt. All packaging must be retained for inspection. Claims not received within these periods may not be met. Out of Stock
Customers who have placed orders for items temporarily out of stock will be informed within 14 days. These items will be recorded and supplied when available.
Returns
BSAS are happy for you to return items which are in their original condition, but all returns requests must be made within 30 days from date of invoice and prior authorisation is required from BSAS. If you would like to return items to BSAS please enquire via bsas@sac.ac.uk or alternatively call +44 (0)131 445 4508, where the necessary instructions about returning items will be given. Also BSAS if you would like to return items because of an error on our part or the item is defective.

Privacy of your data
BSAS stores and processes data strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Changes to the Terms and Conditions
BSAS reserve the right to change or update any Terms and Conditions relating to the use of the Site from time to time without prior notice to users.
